Yesterday, my Graphic Design class and I took a trip to tour the Johnson County Community College (JCCC). We were guided through the graphic design program at JCCC and took a tour through the Nerman Museum on campus.
The graphic design program at JCCC takes you through two years of classes; ranging from 2D design all the way up to Professional Preparation. The program itself is designed to help the students develop a well, comprehensive portfolio to show to companies for hire. Students will be able to learn new skills and master the skills needed to excel through the classes and get them on their way towards a new job.
The Nerman Museum on campus is a contemporary art museum located on the JCCC Campus. The Nerman features works of Kukuli Velarde, KAWS, Dylan Mortimer, and many more. My favorite part of the museum would have to be the UPS and DOWNS exhibition by KAWS. What draws me to like his work would have to be his abstract and colorful paintings. His signature "x" across his subjects eyes, or the "skull and cross bone" that he does to his subjects heads sets him apart from other artists.
Some of my future works as a graphic designer and photographer will be inspired by KAWS.

I like the picture that you chose to put on. It is very colorful and it describes exactly what is located at the Nerman. You really describe the Nerman well. Nice job on this blog, keep up the good work.
